Maestro D, aka Damian Creaser, has been part of Adelaide's dance music story since the first warehouse parties of the early 90s. In 1992 he co-founded Instantaneous Productions, staging events such as Inquest at the Old Adelaide Gaol and We Are The Future at Cheltenham Racecourse, while becoming a familiar MC voice at nights like Discovery and Choice alongside DJs including ATB, MPK and Noddy. From the mic he moved into DJing and production, with a sound running from house and disco through trance, techno and hard dance. Today he's a resident at Dance Floor Heretics' Underground Sessions, an MC at Anthems, an Adelaide Fringe artist and a regular on the Reunion Festival and Come Together bills. He co-presents We Are Family, pairing uplifting disco and house with chef Nick Filsell's food among the vines at Sidewood Estate, and is part of katabatic and L▲UNCH Events. Decades in, he still brings sharp crowd reading and a strong sense of timing to every set.
