Novakane is the hard house and hard trance project of Adelaide DJ Kane Sturz. Part of the city’s newer generation of hard-dance selectors, he draws from UK hard house while keeping his sets suited to club floors. Fast percussion, rolling basslines, hoovers and sharp transitions form the core of his sound, with room for darker pressure and euphoric release. Sturz is also one of the people behind Hard House Nation, an Adelaide series created to give hard house and hard trance a dedicated local home. Novakane appeared as a resident at its May 2026 launch at Cosmos Club, sharing the program with Dramatik, Pete Maxwell, Permanence, Betterman and Kaselow. He returns in November for a follow-up at Surge, supporting artists Robbie Muir and Technikal alongside Adelaide talent including Nukken, SinNRG, Maestro D and Rudeboy. Through DJing and promotion, Novakane is helping connect longtime hard-house followers with a younger audience finding the sound through newer artists and online mixes.
