Imagineer

Imagineer was an art and rave crew that brought its fluoro-tribal warehouse events to the Adelaide Fringe in March 1992. Over three Saturday nights at the Lion Arts Centre on North Terrace, the crew turned the building into Sculptribe City, a playground of sculptures built from industrial waste. They filled it with Melbourne and Adelaide DJs, live bands, a drum room, a chill out space and a chai stall. Their nights mixed early rave with drumming and full venue transformation. Expansion opened the run on 7 March, Alchemy followed on 14 March, and GO! closed it on 21 March with HMC, MPK, Maestro D, X-Citement and Kršna on the decks. Artist and photographer Andrzej Liguz, later of Sydney's Ministry of Random Events, was part of the crew. The afternoon after GO!, the artwork went under the hammer, and the flyer called it the last Imagineer event in Adelaide.
