Late Nite Tuff Guy aka Cam Bianchetti
Also known as: HMC
Late Nite Tuff Guy is Cam Bianchetti's second act, and by most measures the bigger one. The alias first appeared on a 12 inch back in 1993, sat mostly dormant while HMC dominated, then came properly alive from 2007 with edits of Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill and Roland Clark's I Get Deeper.
The formula is disco and soul rebuilt for a modern floor: classic breaks extended, arrangements opened right out, everything aimed at late night euphoria rather than the darkness of his techno years. He founded the Tuff Cut label in 2013, the first EP led by a rework of Toto's Africa, and has since produced official remixes for New Order, Herb Alpert, Timmy Thomas and the Salsoul catalogue.
Greg Wilson was an early champion, and his edits have turned up in sets by Dimitri from Paris and Jackmaster. Regular rooms include XOYO in London, Melbourne's Prince of Wales, and Ibiza. Adelaide still gets him under the stars.
