Wines & Good Times is run by co-directors Colin Coleman and Souli Tsiolis, better known behind the decks as Audioporn and Souli. The name is the brief: disco and house played somewhere with a view and a drink in hand, rather than in a dark room at three in the morning. The New Year's Day party is the anchor, running eight years and counting, and it has grown enough to pull John Course over from Melbourne. Around it sit rooftop sessions at 2KW, long weekenders at Mala Mia, winter parties at Sidewood Estate up in the Adelaide Hills, and support bills for touring names including Melanie C at Hindley Street Music Hall. The biggest of them is Electric Island, an open air festival on Glenelg Beach with Armand Van Helden and Flight Facilities headlining, plus an official after party at the Pier Hotel. A regular DJ crew carries all of it: Sarez, Ezee G, Marc B, Trim and Funk Fusion among them.
