Tim Bos aka Tim O'Brien

Tim Bos is an Adelaide DJ, saxophonist and musician who combines record selection with live instrumental performance. A graduate of the Adelaide Conservatorium of Music, he spent his early twenties playing in jazz and funk bands before establishing himself as a DJ. In 2007, he won the People’s Choice Award at the inaugural Adelaide Fringe SPIN DJ competition. Since 2010, Bos has worked across weddings, private functions, corporate events, festivals and nightclubs, often moving between the decks and saxophone during the same performance. His work has taken him from Adelaide to Melbourne, Sydney Harbour, the Maldives and Seychelles. Clients and events have included Lexus, d’Arenberg, KPMG, Tennis Australia, Adelaide Festival, Adelaide Cabaret Festival and Adelaide Fringe. Musically, he ranges from chilled beats, jazz and funk to disco, house and familiar party records, adapting the pace and mood to the room while retaining the live spark that distinguishes his DJ-and-saxophone sets.
