Seb Jay aka Sebastian Joseph

Seb Jay is an Adelaide DJ, producer, label operator and party organiser working across house, acid and techno. In 2017 he started Snake Pit, a series of themed underground parties run as inclusive dance music showcases for queers, misfits and friends. Snake Pit has run nights at Sugar, Rhino Room Basement, The Austral and Electric Circus, including THROB, and has brought international guests such as Matthew Dear and Marco Shuttle to Adelaide. Seb was also event director of the Adelaide Techno Convention, a multi-venue celebration of local techno held during Adelaide Fringe. In 2022 he launched In The Pit Records out of the Snake Pit parties, debuting with a four-track vinyl EP. In The Pit 002 followed on 12" in 2024, spanning acid, house and breaks. His track “The Floor” appears on Melbourne label Opti Recs’ VA 01 compilation (2025). His DJ sets have taken him from Adelaide clubs and Ozero Festival to lineups alongside HMC, Audioporn, Ezee G and Souli.
