Seb Jay aka Sebastian Joseph

Seb Jay is Adelaide DJ, producer, label operator and party organiser Sebastian Joseph, active across house, acid, techno and queer club culture. He founded the Adelaide Techno Convention in 2017 and created THROB, a queer house and techno series that hosted Late Nite Tuff Guy, Simon Caldwell and Shaun Franklin. His Snake Pit parties took cues from European underground gay clubs, using changing themes and intimate spaces. As a producer, Seb channels Adelaide’s club history through In the Pit Records. His first In the Pit release appeared on vinyl in 2022, followed by In the Pit 002 in 2024, spanning house, acid, breaks and after-hours versions. His EP includes “Gumby on the Moon” and two reworks, while “The Floor” appeared on Opti Recs VA01 in 2025. Seb’s DJ work ranges from after-hours sessions to house and techno sets alongside figures such as HMC, Audioporn, Ezee-G and Souli. He remains a performer, producer and organiser focused on independent parties, records and dance floors.
