Electric Circus

Electric Circus is a basement nightclub off Adelaide’s Hindley Street and one of the city’s longest-running homes for electronic music. Open since 2003, the Crippen Place club has hosted generations of Adelaide DJs alongside interstate and international guests, with its history stretching through house, techno, electro, bass, drum & bass, garage, trance and harder club sounds. Over the years its booth has hosted names including Justice, 2manyDJs, Calvin Harris and The Bloody Beetroots, while regular residents and local promoters have kept the venue closely connected to Adelaide’s own scene. Its programming has continually shifted with club culture, from major touring acts and established Saturday nights to independently curated takeovers, local showcases and specialist underground parties. Small, dark and built around the dancefloor, Electric Circus remains closely identified with late-night Adelaide clubbing and the generations of DJs who have passed through its basement.
