Sam Walker

Sam Walker is an Adelaide DJ, broadcaster and supporter of South Australia’s underground music community. After training as a sound engineer, he returned to Three D Radio in 2006 and launched Raw Like Sushi around 2008. The weekly program moves through Afro sounds, jazz, funk, soul, disco, beats, house and new grooves, combining music with interviews and guest mixes. Walker uses the show to give South Australian musicians and selectors a platform, while notable interviews have included Todd Terje, Mr Scruff and dance-music author Tim Lawrence. His club sets cross house, disco, funk and deeper electronic styles. He has supported Mr Scruff at Sugar, appeared with Lukky K at the Adelaide Techno Convention and played events with Gio and Hartway. In August 2026, Walker joined Aaronac for an all-night house journey at Electric Circus, continuing a career built around patient selection, musical curiosity and close ties to Adelaide’s independent scene.
