Gratts aka Tristan Jong

Gratts is Tristan Jong, a Belgian-born DJ and producer who made Adelaide home after eight years in Berlin. A record collector since 1999, he first fell for nineties UK dance music and went on to play clubs across Europe before settling in South Brighton on Kaurna land. His debut single Brighter Future, released in 2021 on Inner Balance, teamed him with Chicago house pioneer Robert Owens. Adelaide runs through much of his music: Euphoria was written while he was stuck in the city in 2020 and dreamed up on coastal drives, while Méditation Nocturne follows a late-night run through the Adelaide Hills. He runs his own label, Be Strong Be Free, has released on London's Wolf Music, and has recorded a Mix Up set for triple j and a cover mix for 5 Mag. Locally he has played Mellow Magic at the Brighton & Seacliff Yacht Club and Nevermind's IN THE CAGE.
