Laura Danvers

Laura Danvers plays as Danvers, an Adelaide DJ with a crate that refuses to sit still. Her Mixcloud holds dozens of shows going back to the early 2020s, moving from cosmic and Italo disco, boogie edits and sun-soaked Balearic sets through soul, R&B and funk to house and darker techno, with detours into electro, synthwave and 90s hip hop. The titles share the same playful streak, from Piña Colliders and Hot Sauce to Netherworld and Friendly Venom. Her Balearic side found a natural home at Mellow Magic, the seaside sessions at the Brighton & Seacliff Yacht Club, where she recorded a sunset set, while mixes like Sunchine and I Got U blend soul and disco with house and Balearic grooves. She was also booked for HOUSEBLEND, the West End's day-long celebration of independent café culture and local DJ talent that winds up in a Liverpool Street block party.
