Emeka aka Emeka Onyenso

Emeka is an Adelaide DJ listed as Emeka Onyenso, with a presence in the city’s hard dance community. His first documented appearance in the Music Memories archive is Nexus: Hard Dance Music Vol. 3 at Ancient World, joining Skit, Gazebo, Dos, Bashi, Deelicious and Zoe G for a seven-hour program. The event covered hard techno, bounce, groove, trance, house and driving club sounds, placing Emeka within a broad hard dance lineup rather than tying him to one confirmed subgenre. Held in Ancient World’s 200-capacity Hindley Street basement, the night was the third instalment from Adelaide promoter Nexus and centred on an inclusive, high-energy dance floor.
