Ed Temple

Ed Temple (aka Ben Smith) is an Adelaide-based producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist, and the founder of Templé Musiq. Known for a deep love of vintage synthesizers, spring reverb, live musicians and classic drum machines, his music draws from post-disco, cosmic house, disco, boogie, jazz and related sounds. He has released on labels including Internasjonal (Prins Thomas), Midnight Riot and Black Riot Records. Beyond solo production, Ed Temple performs original material with Temple Magic Orchestra, an eight-piece live ensemble featuring strings, horns, percussion and keys that delivers full live house and disco sets. As a DJ he is known for fluid journeys through disco, Afro, jazz, techno, boogie and rare house cuts, and has supported a range of international artists on Australian tours.
