Jules aka Julian Taylor

Jules, known as Dr Jules and MC Jules, is a figure from Adelaide’s golden rave era. His place in the scene was built through direct contact with the crowd—as a dancefloor hype man, runner and microphone presence who helped keep parties moving. Long before phones recorded every set, Jules was part of the human machinery of a rave: reading the energy, encouraging the room and giving the night an extra voice. That history links him with the clubs, dancers and crews that shaped Adelaide’s early electronic music culture. His return for Anthems: Old School Edition saw him join Maestro D in guiding the crowd through tracks associated with the 1990s, while The Planet Reunion reconnected him with another chapter of Adelaide nightlife. A place on the Come Together lineup continues that thread. Jules represents the social side of rave culture—the characters remembered not only for the music they played, but for the atmosphere, participation and sense of belonging they brought to the dancefloor.
