Tim aka Tim Allison

MC Tim, aka Tim Allison, is a longstanding voice in Adelaide’s rave and electronic music community. His appearances stretch back to 1993, when he performed at Mayday with Westbam and Lupo, followed by Mothership at The Ark and shows with Lenny Dee, Dave Angel and DJ Dag. Through 1994 and 1995, Tim became a familiar presence at parties including Incarnate at the Adelaide Gaol, Elysium In Control, DJ Seduction at Venus, Ultraworld New Year’s Eve at the Old Adelaide Gaol, Unite 1, The Ultimate Grand Prix Rave and Hysteria at Thebarton Theatre. He also shared lineups with Carl Cox, Force Mass Motion, Ribbz and leading Adelaide DJs of the period. Tim’s work on the microphone helped connect performers and dancers, adding live energy to nights spanning techno, hardcore and rave. Still involved decades later, he remains linked with Adelaide’s old-school community and Vinyl Destination, returning for reunion events such as Come Together 6 alongside artists from the city’s formative dance era.
