Hindley Street Music Hall is a purpose-built entertainment venue in Adelaide’s West End. Opened in September 2022 after a $6 million redevelopment of the former HQ Complex site, it filled a gap between the city’s smaller clubs and major arenas. The split-level hall accommodates up to 1,800 patrons in standing, seated or cabaret configurations, with strong sightlines, balcony areas, artist rooms and production access. Its program spans international tours, headline acts, comedy, theatre, club nights and special events. Electronic music forms a major part of the calendar, with house, techno, drum & bass, garage, jungle and hardstyle sharing the stage with rock, pop and metal. The venue has hosted touring artists alongside Adelaide events such as the Cargo anniversary, HQ Reunion and Illuminate Adelaide’s Supersonic. Combining large-room production with a central location, the hall provides a flexible space for performances that previously lacked an appropriately sized Adelaide home.
