SURGE
52 Hindley Street, Adelaide
Capacity: 400
Surge opened in late November 2025 at 52 Hindley Street, built by the crew behind Mr Kim's to fill what operations manager Mitchell Yaniski described as a straightforward gap: Adelaide had no purpose built techno venue. Not a bar with a DJ in the corner, but a room designed for the culture from the ground up.
It runs across two levels. The main space carries a massive LED wall and a Funktion-One rig, while a smaller room upstairs has its own sound and lighting for warm up sets and house music. Doors run through to five in the morning, and the club bills itself as a multi level superclub.
The programming has stretched wider than the techno brief since opening. Project Hardstyle and HSU brought Rooler in for five relentless hours of hardstyle just a few months later, Move Dance have run nights here, and in November Hard House Nation take over the room for Robbie Muir and Technikal.
