Normie B

Normie B, aka Norman Blackman, is an Adelaide DJ with a broad club background spanning house, Afro house, Latin house, hip-hop, R&B and open-format party music. His current sets lean strongly toward groove-led house sounds, moving through deep and Afro-influenced rhythms, Latin energy and familiar vocal records while staying responsive to the room. Active across Adelaide nightlife for more than a decade, Normie B has worked everywhere from late-night clubs and residencies to festivals, regional parties and large public events. That range has made versatility a central part of his DJing, equally comfortable building a house set or switching into throwbacks and crowd favourites when the setting calls for it. Recent mixes and appearances have placed Afro house, amapiano and Latin-influenced club music increasingly close to the centre of his sound, while retaining the open musical approach that has shaped his career.
