Dee aka Danny Trimarchi

MC Dee is Danny Trimarchi, an Adelaide rave-era vocalist and MC active since the early 1990s. He was part of the original lineup of Adelaide techno and rap-rock group Bliss, sharing vocals with MC Say, Paul Malandain, alongside Wayne Dixon, David McCann, Jason Paffas and Michael Meissner. The band combined live drums, guitars, bass, turntables and sampling with techno, rave, hip hop and drum & bass influences, becoming known for performances at venues including Cargo. Trimarchi is credited on Bliss’s independently released Threshold EP from 1994, including the track “Stomp.” Outside the band, MC Dee worked the microphone at Adelaide club Le Rox and became associated with the city’s Homegrown rave circle. After relocating to the Byron Bay area, he later returned to Adelaide stages alongside Homegrown associates Angu$ and other original-era performers. He was also announced for Origin at The Gov, a reunion bringing together key figures from Adelaide’s early dance-music community.
