The Fantail (open-air) at Gluttony

The Fantail is Gluttony’s open-air music venue, returning each Adelaide Fringe season to Murlawirrapurka / Rymill Park. Created when Gluttony expanded its outdoor footprint during the pandemic, the space shifted from outdoor theatre toward a concert format shaped by audience demand. It now combines a festival stage with a dedicated dancefloor, relaxed seating and a bar, giving performances the feel of a parkland concert rather than a conventional tent show. The Fantail is the main home of Gigs @ Gluttony, presenting local, Australian and international DJs, bands and music productions across house, techno, trance, drum & bass, disco, pop, rock, country and tribute shows. Its program has included Sub Focus, Nero, Young Franco, Chicane, Example, Bag Raiders, Late Nite Tuff Guy, Hot Dub Time Machine and Groove Terminator’s History of House. Located in Gluttony’s Bartels Zone, it is generally configured for about 1300 patrons, with most events ticketed and presented as general admission.
