UniBar Adelaide

UniBar Adelaide is an independently owned live-music venue on Victoria Drive at the University of Adelaide. The UniBar name has been part of campus life for decades, with its former Level 5 home in Union House serving students for more than 40 years. It closed there in February 2019 during building works and returned in a ground-floor space offering greater flexibility for concerts and events. Since 2019, the team has developed UniBar as a meeting point for students, the public and Adelaide’s music community. Its program covers local launches, touring bands, all-ages shows, festivals, cultural events, talks and heavier bills spanning punk, rock and metal. UniBar was nominated for Best Live Music Venue at the South Australian Music Awards in 2021, 2022 and 2023, and was inducted into the South Australian Music Hall of Fame in 2022. With accessible facilities and a broad calendar, it remains a campus social space and a recognised stage for emerging and established performers.
