Mju aka Melvin Ju

MJU is Melvin Ju, a Melbourne hard dance producer and DJ working thick euphoric melodies over hard hitting kicks, with a stated interest in cutting edge sound design as the route to the emotion rather than as an end in itself. The label list is where the standing really shows. Releases have gone out through Scantraxx, Gearbox Digital, Be Yourself Music, Acid Reign, Fracture and DWX, with collaborators including RAMØN, Franky-B, Sonicz, Peygan, Oblvn, Hardik and Adelaide's own Juchs!. Alongside the originals sits a substantial bootleg catalogue, running from Skrillex and Travis Scott through to Adele, Calvin Harris and Crazy Frog. Eight thousand SoundCloud followers back all of that up, and the festival sets have followed: Gearbox Australia, Culture 360 and Trancition among them. Culture brought him to Adelaide in March for Blackout Edition 3.0 at the Uni of Adelaide cloisters.
