Nelson Dialect aka Nelson Hedditch

Nelson Dialect is Nelson Hedditch, an Adelaide-born rapper who has been part of the city's hip hop scene since 2006, first as Dialect and as one half of the duo Dialect & Despair. Known for raspy vocals and dense, intricate wordplay, he has made most of his records in partnership with producers. In 2013 he featured on Must Volkoff's White Russian album, and the pair later released the 2018 album Magnetism, which was played on Shade45 by DJ Premier and DJ Eclipse. That same year he co-founded the label Bleu Avian with producer Alnitak Kid, launching it with their LP Photograph Your Aura, and relocated to New York to work with Bronx label Red Apples 45. A 2019 European tour led to the album Opal Mind with French producer NuTone, recorded between Paris, Lyon and the French Alps.
