Opposites Attract is the Adelaide DJ duo of Kai Ward and Ashie Grindle, formerly billed as Bangaz & Ash. Performing together since 2023, they pair contrasting personalities with a shared instinct for high-energy, crowd-first sets. Their open-format sound moves through house, tech house, R&B, commercial dance, disco and party favourites, letting them shift styles without losing momentum. The duo have performed at major events including NYE at the Bay, LIV Golf Adelaide, the Tour Down Under alongside Hot Dub Time Machine, Oktoberfest and the Adelaide Showdown at Adelaide Oval. They have also appeared at Sounds in the Quarry and on national television through Sunrise. Away from the stage, Opposites Attract are building a recording catalogue with original releases including “Strange Love” and “Kick In”, supported by club mixes and remixes. Their accessible selections, polished transitions and playful chemistry have made them a regular presence across Adelaide clubs, festivals and events.
