Acetic

Acetic Records is an Adelaide label and event platform founded in 2023 by local DJ and producer Hi, I'm Jack. Focused on deep and minimal electronic music, Acetic supports local artists through releases, mixes and parties that move between minimal house, deep house, microhouse, techno, progressive sounds, jungle and electronica. Its debut compilation, Tapes of Adelaide, brought together ten locally produced tracks, with Adelaide contributors also handling the mastering and artwork. The continuing Acetic Selects mix series has featured homegrown and visiting selectors, while releases have followed from Hi, I'm Jack, No Different, yepecc and cu.b. Away from the label, Acetic has presented We Need Space, Magnolia, SWARM and outdoor gatherings beneath Lightning Bridge, using venues and spaces including Nevermind, Ancient World, the Stag Balcony and Bonython Park. Collaborations with Elixir Records, 2BSCENE and other local crews reinforce its community-led approach to underground music.
