Xav aka Xavier O'loughlin

Xav, aka Xavier O’Loughlin and X.A.V, is an Adelaide DJ and producer focused on hard house and the faster, more energetic edges of club music. Behind the decks he draws on driving basslines, rolling rhythms and euphoric elements, with influences ranging across contemporary Australian and UK hard house. Production is a central part of the project, with Xav working on both original material and remixes rather than treating DJing as a standalone pursuit. He began DJing in 2025 and quickly moved toward developing his own sound, citing artists including Sam Alfred, Kyle Starkey, Dart, No Chasa and Wolters as reference points. In Adelaide, Xav is beginning to appear across independent electronic lineups, including Acetic and Closer Record Store’s Edge Effect at Ancient World, while continuing to build a catalogue of his own music alongside live sets.
