The Historic Overland Corner Hotel is a Riverland pub and music venue dating from around 1859, originally built as a stopping point for drovers and travellers moving between New South Wales and Adelaide. The limestone building later served as a general store and post office before being restored and returning to hospitality use. Today the OC combines its heritage setting with food, local beer and wine, free camping and regular live entertainment. Music runs through the venue’s programme year-round, from weekend performers to larger gatherings staged across the surrounding grounds. Its most distinctive music setting is Sounds in the Quarry, which uses the hotel and nearby rock quarry for a multi-act programme of local and interstate musicians and DJs. With outdoor space, historic buildings and the River Murray nearby, the Overland Corner Hotel operates as both a destination country pub and an unusual regional performance space rather than a conventional club or concert venue.
