Morph aka Michael Patterson

Morph is the Adelaide drum & bass DJ Michael Patterson, formerly known as Patto. The name comes from his own outlook: nothing in life stays the same, and he sees DJing as morphing a journey out of quality selections. His roots are in forest parties, jail raves with Requiem, house parties and events in the Barossa and Adelaide Hills, and from there he moved from club bangers to bush doofs and a lasting love of deep broken beats. He began playing drum & bass at nightclubs and underground events in 2012, and won Twisted Audio's Homegrown FreQs, an Australia wide DJ competition, in 2015. Under the Sporadic Therapy banner he brought alternative therapy and a journey through genres together at his own events, Harmonize, Integration and MetroGnome. His sets lean deep, melodic and emotive, cut with heavy rollers and crunchy basslines, and he has supported artists including Ivy Lab, SpectraSoul, Lenzman and Mampi Swift.
