Kick Back Brewing

Kick Back Brewing is an independent brewery, taproom and live-music venue in Aldinga, founded by Brenton Schoemaker in 2021 after he left a career in geoscience to turn his homebrewing hobby into a full-scale operation. The purpose-built site at 11 Old Coach Road combines a 10-hectolitre brewhouse with a bright taproom, large beer garden, kitchen and flexible outdoor space. Music is a regular part of the venue, with rotating DJs, acoustic acts and bands every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, plus larger programmes such as Kick Back Tracks, Fringe shows and themed weekends. Its 2024 Kick Back Tracks festival filled the backyard with vinyl DJs, hip hop, drum & bass, acoustic acts and market stalls, while later bookings have ranged from local bands to house and disco sessions. Family- and dog-friendly, with beer brewed on site and a strong local focus, Kick Back has become both a neighbourhood brewery and a useful southern-suburbs performance space.
