Also runs: Audio Distraction

Audio Distraction is Jay Hannam, an Adelaide-based DJ built around feel-good dance music, with sets moving through jazz house, nu-disco, Chicago house and classic house, plus his own studio edits with some unexpected vocals. Originally from Sheffield, UK, he started his house music journey in 1987 when he built his own pirate radio station, broadcasting out of his bedroom to the local area. From there he progressed to playing pubs and clubs throughout Sheffield and the surrounding areas. Audio Distraction has become active around Adelaide’s southern suburbs, appearing at Taste Revolution in Port Noarlunga South, Paxton Wines in McLaren Vale, Christies RSL in Port Noarlunga and most recently Kick Back Brewing in Aldinga. He has also hosted themed nights such as dedicated ’90s sessions, and continues to build a local following through standalone sessions and collaborations.
