Audio Distraction

Run by: Audio Distraction

Audio Distraction is the event banner run by Adelaide DJ Jay Hannam, putting on feel-good dance nights across the city’s southern suburbs. The nights are built for a broad age mix, pairing classic house and familiar cuts from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s with newer jazz house and nu-disco in relaxed bar, brewery and community venues. In 2025 Audio Distraction ran themed parties including a dedicated ’90s session and the Dress to Disturb Halloween party. In 2026 it teamed up with The Vinyl Collective for Winter Sessions at Christies RSL in Port Noarlunga, then brought a spring jazz house and nu-disco session to Kick Back Brewing in Aldinga. With a mix of standalone nights and collaborations with other local crews, Audio Distraction keeps growing a regular crowd in the south.
