The Vinyl Collective work the southern suburbs rather than the city, and the venues tell you what kind of night they run. Port Noarlunga RSL for Winter Sessions, Moana Surf Life Saving Club for The Sunday Rewind. Community halls and clubrooms down by the coast, not basements off Hindley Street. The brief holds across both: seventies through nineties disco, pop singalongs, dancefloor classics and classic house, played to a crowd that came to dance rather than to discover anything new. Winter Sessions ran from seven until late, while The Sunday Rewind was pitched as a two in the afternoon seaside throwback, though it ended up cancelled. It is a small operation with a Facebook page and not a great deal else, but the format is a proven one in that part of Adelaide.
