Honeydripper
11 Frome St, Adelaide
Honeydripper is a hi-fi cocktail and listening bar at 11 Frome Street in Adelaide, opened in August 2025 by Sean Howard, whose earlier venues include Cry Baby and Memphis Slim’s. Billed as “Audio Exotica: Home of Music Aficionados,” it places recorded music at the centre of the room through a custom system by Adelaide specialists InsideOut Audio. Its selectors work mainly with vinyl, spanning soul, funk, house, disco, blues and jazz, with long sets suited to close listening and a late-night bar crowd. The interior combines warm lighting, timber finishes and sunken conversation areas, creating a relaxed lounge setting rather than a conventional nightclub. Cocktails and wine lead the evening drinks list, while weekday mornings bring coffee and bagels from 7:30am. Honeydripper also extends its music program online through recorded DJ sessions, interviews and playlists, with featured selectors including Lenin, Mehdi, Sharni and Hans.
