Adelaide Producer Showcase

Adelaide Producer Showcase is a quarterly event series run by FMLK, built to give the city's electronic music producers a stage for their own sound. Most club nights are built around DJ sets, but this one is built around the music people make themselves. Every three months, a lineup of Adelaide producers is invited to play their originals, works in progress and unreleased tracks to a live crowd. The shows run under the Test Press name, a nod to the test pressing a label cuts to hear a record before it goes out to the world. That's the idea here too: producers get to hear their tracks in a club, see how a dancefloor reacts and share music that may not exist anywhere online yet. Test Press Vol 1 put LEZEN, Imachka and FMLK on the bill at Nevermind on Leigh Street, playing across the house spectrum. At its heart, the series is about shining a light on local production and giving Adelaide producers a regular place to show what they've made.
