Lezen aka Callum Reid

LEZEN is the Adelaide electronic music project of producer, DJ and radio host Callum Reid. Pronounced “Lay-zen”, the name comes from the Dutch word for “to read”. His music moves between progressive and main-room house, darker club sounds and more melodic, emotive electronic writing, a contrast that became the basis of his debut album Duality. Reid has released original music and remixes through Australian labels including Hussle Recordings and etcetc, while tracks such as Moving On, With Me and Fire In Me have carried the project onto triple j Unearthed and wider dance radio. In 2020 LEZEN was nominated for Best Electronic Act at the South Australian Music Awards, and in 2023 he won the Adelaide wildcard in Your Shot. Away from releases, LEZEN hosted The Vibe on Fresh 92.7 for nine years, presenting house, tech, tribal and progressive music. He also teaches electronic music production and continues to DJ, produce and test new material through Adelaide’s club scene.
