Kimbo

Kimbo is an Adelaide DJ and producer whose selections move through breakbeat, minimal house, techno, jungle, jazz and the stranger edges of underground club music. He became known locally through Jazz ’n’ Breaks on Duck! Radio, a show blending hip-hop, jungle, jazz, tech house and breakbeat, while club appearances have included Fluorescent Fantasy at Sugar, Acetic’s We Need Space series and BREAKBITCH at Ancient World. Kimbo is also closely associated with Dr. Chemtrails, with the pair developing a reputation for weird, wonky minimal selections and long-running B2B sets. In March 2026 he released his debut record, the three-track Bugged EP, built from old-school techno, breakbeats, tribal touches and off-centre electronic textures. The release also launched his independent K-Solo Records imprint, created as an outlet for his own work and other like-minded artists. Kimbo remains active across Adelaide’s underground electronic scene as both selector and producer.
