Akita Wolf aka Brendan

Akita Wolf is the alias of Adelaide DJ Brendan, a psytrance selector whose own tagline sums up the approach: where genre doesn't matter and getting lost is the only destination. His sets sit between progressive and full on, built for high energy rather than strict adherence to a subgenre, and he brings drum & bass along when the room calls for it. He took out the Forbidden Forest DJ competition in 2023, and the bush festival circuit has kept him busy since. Recorded sets from Phoenix Rising in Tasmania, Bash4Palooza in Victoria, When Pigs Fly on Kangaroo Island and Psy-ence Fiction show a DJ comfortable across state lines, while Dancing Room at Henley Square put him on a seaside floor closer to home. What tends to get mentioned first, though, is how he handles a crowd. He will step out from behind the decks for a dance mid set, or share a moment with whoever is down the front, and the room usually follows him into it.
