Ferg's Stepney

Ferg's occupies the old Little Bang Brewery warehouse in the Stepney backstreets, opened by cousins Jordan and Bevan Ferguson as an urban cellar door for their two wine labels, Moorak and Massey. The Stepney site handles blending, bottling and storage as well as tastings, and a rotating third producer usually gets a spot on the chalkboard alongside them. There is a Ferg's gin with Imperial Measures and a lager brewed with Little Bang. Layout suits a party better than most cellar doors. The front works like the front of a house party, the central space holds the bar and dance floor with mood lighting, disco ball and proper DJ decks, and a botanical beer garden sits out the back. Around 120 seats, with a pizza oven going. Sitting off the main strips means minimal foot traffic, so events do the heavy lifting: Soulvation Sundays on soul, funk and disco, and Huggy Bear Sound System sessions.
