Lonelyspeck aka Sione Teumohenga

Lonelyspeck is the Adelaide project of singer, songwriter, producer and visual artist Sione Teumohenga. Active since the mid-2010s, they have built a body of work that moves between experimental electronic music, pop, R&B, ambient, metal and industrial textures without settling into one fixed genre. Early releases including Presence and Lave established the project nationally, leading to triple j airplay, a Laneway Festival appearance and support slots for Perfume Genius, Nosaj Thing and The Dillinger Escape Plan. Later work expanded that palette further through Abyssal Body and the 2025 debut album Crown of My Spirit, written, recorded, produced and mixed by Teumohenga. Their music draws on personal history, Tongan heritage, gender, memory and physicality, while balancing abrasive digital detail with melody and strong songwriting. Lonelyspeck also works across visual art and collaboration, making the project as much about a complete artistic language as any single electronic style.
