Taesty Gecko aka Casey Dawson

Taesty Gecko is Casey Dawson, an Adelaide-based DJ and electronic producer with roots in Far North Queensland's outdoor party culture. Introduced to the Cairns scene as a teenager, he developed a musical approach that crosses psychedelic trance, progressive, tech house, dub and funk. His work extends beyond the decks through Project: Taesty Gecko, bringing together music and outdoor festival production. His recording history includes a self-titled release in 2010, reworked and expanded as Gecko Funk in 2011. Under the Space Case name, he produced Eclipse Wars E.P., released in 2013 and inspired by his first interstate appearance at Perth's Kinetic Dreaming the previous year. These releases document a producer comfortable moving between styles, with psychedelic sounds and rhythm at the centre. In Adelaide, appearances with Sineapse continue that connection to the psytrance community, bringing his long-standing outdoor music background into the city's intimate club spaces.
