Sean Craig Murphy

Sean Craig Murphy is an Adelaide radio presenter, music programmer, trainer and DJ whose broadcasting career began at 5MU in Murray Bridge in 1983. Across four decades he has worked at 22 stations, including SAFM, Mix 102.3 and Triple M in Adelaide, Fox FM in Melbourne, and Sydney’s 2DayFM. He co-hosted SAFM breakfast with Adam Hills in the 1990s and received consecutive ACRA awards as Australia’s Best Music Personality in 1992 and 1993. In 2010, Murphy took over the Australian Radio School from Adelaide broadcaster David Day, helping prepare a new generation of announcers and producers. After leaving SAFM in February 2025, he returned that July as Content Director at dance station Fresh 92.7, where he had previously co-hosted the early-2000s drive program Kaboom with Mel Greig. He also co-hosts Everyday Conspiracy Theories with Mena Soliman. Murphy’s appearance at the Arkaba’s GREED ’80s fluoro party draws on a lifetime spent selecting music, speaking to audiences and reading a room.
