NAS aka Boris

N.A.S is an Adelaide drum and bass DJ known for fast, technical sets moving across the genre’s heavier substyles. Drawing influence from IMANU, Buunshin and Black Barrel, N.A.S favours detailed percussion, tense atmospheres and basslines built for sound systems. The sound sits between techstep, neurofunk and dancefloor drum and bass, with occasional jump-up selections adding impact. Rather than holding one mood, N.A.S uses contrast to keep sets moving, shifting from stripped-back pressure into sharper drops and high-energy passages. Early appearances included House of Hi-Fi’s CUE mix series, where N.A.S was introduced as a multi-subgenre selector with a techy, neuro-driven approach.
