Mehar aka Mehar Bains

Mehar, aka Mehar Bains, is an Adelaide DJ and music-maker with an open-format approach built around playing whatever suits the room. Her selections move comfortably between house, hip-hop and broader party music, favouring variety, familiarity and strong crowd connection over staying inside one fixed genre. That flexibility is central to the project, with Mehar describing her own style simply as “mixing whatever sounds gooood.” Rather than presenting a tightly boxed-in club identity, her sets are shaped around mood, energy and the people in front of her. Within Adelaide, Mehar is part of a newer group of DJs appearing through local collectives and intimate events, including LN Collective’s House Party series. Alongside DJing, she also describes herself as a music-maker, leaving room for the project to grow beyond selection alone.
