Kamoets aka Ben Edwards

Kamoets is Ben Edwards, an Adelaide DJ working across hard house, driving techno and bouncing tech house. By his own account he plays multiple styles and is always experimenting, which is a fair description of a catalogue that moves between all three without ever settling on one. Most of the mixes went up in a single day at the end of May, nine of them landing within a few hours of each other: Teknique, Technocally Speaking, Time Fades Away, Dark Energy in two versions, and three volumes of Mr Good Bar. A fourth Hit 'Em Hard followed in July, so the numbered series have clearly been running a good deal longer than the upload dates suggest. It reads like a back catalogue finally getting posted rather than a burst of new work. In March he took the Dancing Room slot at Henley Square with Daniella, an ecstatic dance session by the beach that ran across tech house, techno and whatever else the room called for.
