Hotel Alba

Hotel Alba sits on South Terrace looking out over the park lands, and it is a hotel first rather than a music venue. Rooms were renovated in 2022, the restaurant Ela runs a Mediterranean menu built on locally sourced produce, and there is a lounge bar, a gym and a year round outdoor pool. Capacity across the venue runs to 370. The pool is the reason it turns up on a dance music index at all. Loungers, bean bags, umbrellas and poolside service make it one of the very few Adelaide venues that can host a proper daytime pool party, and the property pitches itself on making urban feel like a holiday, which is an unusually good fit for the format. Raves in Waves took that pitch literally, running a Vegas style pool party across two sessions of drum & bass and hard dance, with live MCs, custom light up speakers, floaties, canapés and a VIP Flamingo Lounge. Every ticket came with burgers and a drink card.
