Christies Beach Hotel

The Christies Beach Hotel bills itself as your local by the sea, sitting on Gulfview Road with the coast in view and licensed for 1200 across the whole site. It runs under Independent Pub Group and covers most of what a suburban pub does: restaurant, front bar, sports bar, arcade, playground, accommodation, and a private function room recently renovated to take 100 guests. The Front Bar and Deck were revamped and now carry live acoustic music every Friday and Sunday, which makes it one of the more consistent regular music rooms anywhere in the southern suburbs. Doors run through to three in the morning on the big nights. DJs come out for the deck rather than for the main room. Decks on the Deck ran as a free entry summer session, four hours of afternoon sets with drink specials and the ocean in front of it, timed to see the end of summer out rather than to start a big night.
