The Session is a weekly dance music show from Adelaide DJ and producer Midtown Jack, built around house, club music and electronic sounds from across the spectrum. Combining fresh releases, established favourites and guest mixes, the show reflects the same broad, dancefloor-focused approach that runs through Midtown Jack’s DJing and production work. Alongside its Fresh 92.7 broadcast, The Session also lives as a long-running podcast, giving the show a wider audience beyond Adelaide. Across more than 100 episodes, it has developed into a regular outlet for new music, DJ culture and guest artists, while keeping Midtown Jack’s own selections and mixing at the centre. Rather than being tied to one narrow genre, The Session works as a consistent snapshot of contemporary dance music through the ears of a working Adelaide DJ.
