The DNA Lounge
Station: Three D Radio 93.7FM
On air: Thursdays 11:00PM - 1:00AM
Left-field electronic, experimental, hip-hop, soul and post-punk — eclectic, adventurous and late-night, with plenty of unexpected turns.
The DNA Lounge is a late-night Three D Radio show hosted by Tommy, built around ambient, experimental and left-field electronic music. Rather than following tempo, genre or club conventions, the program moves through obscure vinyl, unusual electronics, dub, ambient, post-punk, experimental pop and records that are simply difficult to classify.
The selections can shift from spacious and meditative to rhythmic, strange or abrasive, with older Australian curiosities sitting comfortably beside contemporary electronic music and international oddities. The result is less a conventional mix show than an open-ended listening session shaped by discovery and unexpected connections.
The DNA Lounge is a place for records that fall between categories, with Tommy using the late-night slot to follow the music wherever it leads.
