Groovin’ with Sister T is a Three D Radio show hosted by longtime Adelaide broadcaster Tess Coleman, better known on air as Sister T. Built around contemporary jazz and blues with plenty of funk and soul in the mix, the program combines new releases with rare finds, mellow grooves and selections drawn from decades of listening and collecting. Coleman’s connection with blues and jazz reaches back to her teenage years in 1960s London, where she saw many British and American artists live. That history feeds directly into Groovin’, giving the show a broad perspective that moves comfortably between classic recordings and current music. With more than two decades in Adelaide community radio, Tess Coleman brings the focus back to the records themselves: soulful, groove-heavy music chosen with the depth of a longtime listener, musician and broadcaster.
