Freakin’ It

R&B and hip-hop, mixing current urban tracks with old-school favourites — vibrant, streetwise and feel-good.

Freakin’ It with Lisa D is a long-running Fresh 92.7 R&B and hip-hop show hosted by Adelaide DJ and broadcaster Lisa D. On air since 2000, the program brings together new releases, established favourites and old-school classics, with Lisa’s signature Old Skool mix remaining a central part of the show. Across its history, Freakin’ It has also been a regular home for artist interviews, with guests including Ice Cube, Public Enemy, DMX, Chris Brown, Black Eyed Peas, Xzibit, Mýa, Boyz II Men, Montell Jordan and Naughty by Nature. Warm, music-led and closely connected to Adelaide listeners, the show reflects Lisa’s long relationship with R&B and hip-hop while continuing to follow where the music moves next. Freakin’ It has also received national recognition, including Radio Programme of the Year, while Lisa has been inducted into the Fresh 92.7 Hall of Fame and made a Life Member.
